What You Need To Know About Pain-Free Dentistry

    December 24th, 2010
One of the most common questions asked in any type of medical office, including the dentist’s office, is “is this going to hurt?” The truth is that most dental procedures result in very little or no pain at all. There are some people who are so paralyzed with fear at the thought of visiting the dentist that they don’t go for years at a time. My name is Dr. Eric Hibbs, and my office is located at
5600 W. Lovers Lane Suite 216 Dallas Tx; I help people get healthy teeth and beautiful smiles.Pain-Free Dentistry

Actually there are dentists who can help people who are very reluctant to visit the dentist. Pain-free dentists are like a dream come true for people who need dental care but are just too worried or frightened by the idea of dental work.

Pain-free dentists use a combination of medications and advanced relaxation techniques to help make dental procedures pain-free. The medication used is usually Nitrous Oxide, commonly known as laughing gas. This helps to alleviate worries and fears. The relaxation techniques can include breathing exercises and visualization techniques. The combination of these two factors results in pain-free dentistry for the patient.

Most of my patients that visit my Dallas office keep regular appointments with me as they are aware of pain-free dentistry and are not afraid anymore.

With all of advances in dentistry, there are options for everyone. Your dental health is so very important; you should never neglect it. Make the right decision. Visit me, Dr. Hibbs to discuss your dental problems.

One thing to remember is that the fear of pain is usually worse than any pain you might experience. With pain-free dentistry, you are virtually guaranteed to feel no pain at all. I have treated plenty of patients in my office at 5600 W. Lovers Lane Suite 216, Dallas, so if you would like to set up an appointment to see me, please call 214-DENTIST, or click here.

    What is General Dentistry?

    December 8th, 2010
We all know that we’re supposed to visit the dentist at least twice a year.  In fact, your parents probably told you this since you were a little child.  Unfortunately most adults don’t get a chance to visit the dentist every six months.  If you haven’t been to the dentist in a while, it’s important to find a dentist you can trust.

My name is Dr. Eric Hibbs, my office is located at ~~5600 W. Lovers Lane Suite 216~~ Dallas, Tx.  I understand some people’s apprehension about visiting the dentist, but it is really necessary for everyone in order to maintain good health.  That’s right: regular dentist visits help keep your teeth and the rest of your body healthy.

Some people get confused by the different types of dentists out there.  There’s general dentistry, surgical dentistry and many other specialty fields.  So what is general dentistry? If you’re familiar with doctors and the concept of a general practitioner, that same concept applies to general dentistry.  Chances are if you visited a dentist for most of your life that dentist is a general dentistry practitioner.  Most of your dental needs can be met by a general dentistry practitioner, though you may be referred to a specialist for some specific issues.

No matter what your dental problems are, you should always start out with a dentist who is skilled in general dentistry. If you need additional dental care, a good dentist has all the resources necessary to point you in the right direction. I have seen thousands of patients at my Dallas office and will be happy to assist you with any dental problems that you may have.

If you haven’t been to the dentist for a while and are looking for new dental office give me a call at 214-DENTIST, or click here to schedule an appointment with my office today.
